Liteblok

Why is Liteblok™ a green building material?

Offered by Cresco Concrete Products, LLC, Liteblok's green credentials include the following:
  • Durable, long lasting structures can be built. This results in less waste and less energy cost to society
  • Energy efficient with very high equivalent R-values and smaller A/C systems required
  • Lightweight (density as low as 1/4 that of traditional concrete) means significantly less sand and cement is consumed contributing to a lower embodied energy than all other similarly performing building materials
  • Liteblok™ does not rot, is not attacked by vermin or termites, is mold and mildew resistant, and does not absorb moisture into its core resulting in less maintenance and less waste generated through maintenance
  • Liteblok™ contains no VOCs or toxic substances such as fly ash and polystyrene. No ozone depleting or hazardous chemicals are used during manufacture. Heavy use of pesticide is not required prior to installation. It is a very clean breathable building material that offers excellent indoor air quality
  • Modular system results in minimal job site waste
  • Liteblok™ can be recycled at the end of its life
  • Its lightweight means reduced freight loads and less energy consumption and pollution during transport
  • Sound absorbing qualities results in significantly reduced indoor noise

  1. DAVIS LITEBLOK GRANDE 38 HOME
The Most Energy Efficent Home I have ever lived in and the most comfortable and quiet.I have been building homes for 35 years and Liteblok Grande 38 was the fastest and cheapest way to Build these days, super fast with r-value in our region R-31.Also 50% more effient to heat & cool, then stick built homes ect.. We have wood stove as heat and it is running use out of the house at 30 degree outside at night and 50s to 65s during day.We have to leave the windows open to burn our wood stove, because are house is so air tight and well Insulated with the Liteblok grande 38 and R-50 in attic .So we bought a small 700sq ft propane heater to heat the house and it only comes on a few times at night.
During this summer in June, when I was building my house, it was 110 degrees on the Southern outside wall of the Liteblok Grande 38 Home, it was 82 degrees outside and 70 degrees on the inside walls.Without no windows or doors installed and metal roof and plywood on cable ends of house with no sheetrock just the Liteblok Grande 38 as insulation on inside & outside walls. When I was building wood stick homes, it was always hot inside & outside while framing the inside walls in the summer, and when it was cold outside it was cold inside. Now we are in our 896 sq. ft. home and Loving it!!!!, Liteblok Grande 38 homes are the way to build for the future and no maintence and a Green Building Material. Will handle Tornados Earthquakes and will not burn and no maintence.I WOULD USE LITEBLOK GRANDE 38 OVER AGAIN & AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MY WIFE TELLS ME EVERYDAY, I LOVE MY LITEBLOK HOME!
